Visa on arrivals
Visiting countries is not always easy. Of the 197 sovereign countries, only 115 allow a United States Passport holder to enter visa-free. This represents a mere 58.3%. Of the 82 countries that due need a visa, 44 require applying at an embassy or consulate, 29 provide for visa-on-arrival, while 9 allow for an E-visa. Prior arrangements to attain a visa require preparing documentation for submission, attaining letters of invitation, and making sure the paper and payment is in order to ensure the visa is granted. As so many countries require visas, several taking weeks to process, I was granted a secondary passport by the US State Department, allowing me to travel with one passport while attaining visas with the other.
